Coaching = Effective Psychological Practice

Coaching has been researched and proven to be an effective psychological practice. I examined this fact at great length during my degree studies because I was drawn to the modality.

Certified Recovery Coaches, addiction specialists, Life Intervention Professionals, and countless other specialties allow the professionals to lean into their passion and help people with very specific needs. However, in many cases, it can put the practitioner in contact with people struggling with situations they aren’t educated and trained to handle. Trauma, anxiety, depression, codependency, and ADHD are common factors for people battling addiction.

What does this mean?

As a professional who has undoubtedly walked the journey you are passionate about taking with others, the addiction recovery journey, you know all too well that there are challenges that are either fed by the addiction or arise once recovery has begun. Protecting yourself and your clients by educating yourself beyond the road to sobriety is the ethical thing to do. That is unless you have a collaborative team of professionals already curated to support the mental health needs of your clientele.

Winging it isn’t the prudent thing to do when we hold the lives of others in our hands.

You want to solidify your talents, accentuate your experience, and most importantly you want your clients comfortable and confident in your ability to serve them.

Let’s get you registered for the first training session in 2023 so you can add an Internationally Certified Mental Health Coach (ICMHC) to your credentials!
